Paul Haslip is a visual artist, designer, educator and composer.

Haslip’s still life photography documents raw debris from consumer culture. Whether a plastic bottle, a cigarette package, or a coffee cup, once used, they are often left to decay in our urban environment.

Over time, and subjected to both manmade and natural forces, these objects are transformed. They are our new archaeology, dark remnants of forgotten momentary pleasures.

Paul is a founding partner and creative director at HM&E Design; a professor of Typography, and Design Thesis at the GBC School of Design; a member of the RGD, and was awarded a Fellowship by the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada.

He continues to find inspiration every damn day.
